Tomi Ahonen might not have been the favorite Nokia guy out there for many, but underneath he has been as much of a Nokia fan as anybody else.
Yesterday the dream ended. Nokia’s total handset business was sold, at ridiculously bottom-barrel price, to Microsoft. Well, it was good while it lasted. My first mobile phone was a Nokia branded phone (2110, in 1995). Since that time there has never been a day in my life, that at least one of the phones I have had in my pocket(s) has not been a Nokia. Still today, I walk around with an 808 Pureview. Often both of my phones have been Nokias and in some of the brief times that I’ve strutted around with three phones (yes, mostly just to show off how much I’m a geek) I’ve even had all three as Nokia brands. I have owned almost every flagship phone Nokia has produced. I am from Finland, I used to be employed by Nokia. If you cut me, my blood doesn’t run red, I bleed Nokia blue. I loved that brand…..
