Last thing I want for this blog is console wars, though I do know this blog has a lot of readers for the specific countries concerning this piece and Xbox One is part of the Windows 8 family.
Like the title says, it is now official that Xbox One is delayed in 8 European countries (Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Norway, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland). Meaning 13 of the original launch countries are still to receive Xbox One in 2013.
Our priority is ensuring our customers get the best Xbox One experience the first day it is available. To do that, and in order to meet demand, we have adjusted the number of markets that will receive Xbox One in November to 13 markets, including Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Spain, United Kingdom, United States and New Zealand, in November.
We remain committed to launching Xbox One in Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Norway, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland, as soon as possible in 2014.
It really is too bad. Some earlier rumors before this announcement talked about the delay taking as long as till March, but nothing official from Microsoft for now. At least for me, the decision is quite easy now after being between the two consoles for past months
Still interested to get Xbox One on one of those countries and have pre-ordered before today? You will get free game with each launch console in the affected countries.
