Gadget Show pits top smartphones against each other

I got a feeling many of the daily readers of this blog don’t likely watch shows like Gadget Show or have order for a monthly gadget magazine, still media like Gadget Show is a great mirror at what are the acceptable phones to own at the moment and for many who don’t follow the industry it gives the quick “follow the herd” review.

Gadget Show is just the small part of a bigger wave as we have started to see similar kind of movement around Apple as we saw with Nokia quickly after N95. Lack of knowledge about the market or simple fear to steer the ship to new waters is what gets you in the end, with lack of innovation. Especially in this very unique mobile market that works in such a short cycles and people are expecting to receive fully polished device that also wows them.
Apple still has plenty of time just as Nokia had back then, but things need to change. Nokia as well still got a lot to do to get back to top 2 in the smartphone market, yet it’s encouraging to see Nokia as a brand again rising it nose on the crowded market. Gadget Show type of media actually flat out saying Nokia phone is better than iPhone was just about impossible year ago.
