Nokia Location & Commerce announced today that it will provide modified pan-European reference data to Ford Europe.
Idea here is that Nokia as world’s largest maps company provides needed data for Emergency Assistance technology that Ford is implementing to it’s cars. Emergency Assistance technology by Ford identifies the location of the driver in need of help and also automatically selects the right language to alert local emergency service

With a consistent global specification, the reference data can be easily maintained or expanded to additional countries.
