Could Nokia gain the upper hand in Nordic Countries thanks to LTE support?

This is something that for reason or another has on been totally ignored in the media. Only countries in Europe where Apple can and will offer 4G are UK (Everything Everywhere) and Germany (Deutsche Telekom). In a same time Lumia 820 and Lumia 920 offer the following bands.

GSM 1800
GSM 1900
GSM 850
GSM 900
LTE Band 1 (2100)
LTE Band 20 (800)
LTE Band 3 (1800)
LTE Band 7 (2600)
LTE Band 8 (900)
WCDMA Band I (2100)
WCDMA Band II (1900)
WCDMA Band V (850)
WCDMA Band VIII (900)
- Nokia

This essentially means the new Lumia’s will support all of the Euroepan LTE bands out there. Nokia Lumia 920 and Lumia 820 will not just have LTE for UK and Germany , but it will also offer LTE on countries in Scandinavia that where one of the first countries to offer LTE back in 2010. Scandinavia has also traditionally been big market for Apple and this will certainly make some who are thinking for iPhone 5 to take second look at Nokia’s offering.

This also goes much further than just Scandinavia as Spain, Italy and France support 800MHz and 2.6GHz LTE bands that iPhone 5 misses but new Lumia’s have.

Even Samsung has to offer two version of their Galaxy S3. One will carry LTE 900/1800/2600 Mhz and the other model LTE 800/1800/2600 MHz. This means that example in Finland where LTE networks are 1800, 2600 and upcoming LTE 800 by Elisa wont work under one Galaxy S3 model.
