Developer Jeff Weber announced today that Windows Phone 8 and Windows 8 will receive Unity 3D engine support from the get go. He also announced that next version of Krashlander will be present in Windows Phone 8.
Like we know Windows Phone 7.x has been lacking badly behind of iOS and Android on games, thanks to restrictions of the platform and poor sales of the devices.
With Windows Phone 8 receiving DirectX and native code support the doors will be fully open for some true quality games and make the porting of the games from other platforms easier as well.
Unity 3D engine support is just part of all this as Microsoft will certainly do it’s best to build Windows Phone 8 a serious gaming platform.
