Nokia announced back in spring that Nokia World would scale down and hold many smaller scale events. September 5-6 date was confirmed to be closed event for operators and retailers.
Now we have Nokia’s Maija Taimi (head of Nokia’s communication in Finland) commenting on Nokia World 2012.
September event organized in Helsinki is intended only for invited guests, mostly for operators and retailers. The event is not intended for representative of the media. – Maija Taimi
Taimi also admits that back in spring Nokia had intended the event to be open for media.
This of course begs the question why isn’t it anymore?
It’s not clear from the source is Taimi specifically talking about the September 5-6 event or Nokia World as a whole. Taimi also retains for telling about possible media open event happening at the same time as this closed one.
If anything this is only adding unnecessary confusion to the whole matter.
