Hurmola has been talking a lot about the plans to have large application base on the launch. Yet to reveal how Jolla will achieve it.
When the smart phone hits the market, it must absolutely have large number of applications available. When we publish about the phone, we will also tell more about the availability of applications. – Jussi Hurmola
Here’s how the name Jolla name was selected after the countless market researches and months of thinkering. 
We saw sailing ships and line of dinghies (dinghy in Finnish is Jolla). That was the start of the name Jolla, we would be leaving to the sea on a optimistic dinghy. We tested how the word would sound in English, Chinese and in Europe, all that returned positive feedback. In Spanish pronunciation Jolla means precious stone. – Jussi Hurmola
Jolla is at the moment giving jobs for a bit over 50 people and are actively hiring. By the end of the year the goal is to have over 100 people working for Jolla.
Then some hints about the Jolla device announced before end of this year.
It will look great. It wil be for people who want to stand out from the crowd, but no one will be excluded. We want to make our phone easily accessible to human and powerful at the same time. The user interface will distinguish us from other phones. – Jussi Hurmola
