QuasarMX – Must get Music Player for 808 PureView, adds album art automatically as well

Symbian’s default music player is fine, but always loved QuasarMX on N9. Thankfully that same app is available for Symbian as well.
One problem with default music player on Belle is that it’s very, very picky about the album art and meta tags. QuasarMX does great job here, especially with the added Cover Art Downloader function you can find from the very right on the top bar of QuasarMX.

 QuasarMX is a light-weight, fast and convenient music player optimized for mobile systems offering many of the features found in modern desktop music players, like fast library overview and filtering along with the ability to handle large libraries very well. It offers integration of external services like LyricWiki or Last.fm and features a cover art downloader.

Definitely give it a look as there’s not much to improve on the excellent music quality via 3.5mm anymore, why not try something else on the music player UI? Especially as it’s all free from Nokia Store.

    Great app, also available for the N9, well worth playing with it.

      It’s great, followed it’s development before it was released for N9.

      I quite like N9′s simplistic music player, though on 808 Quasar is improvement over the default player (imo) and it has that excellent album art “fixer” function.

      There should be new version coming soon. Dev has been very active lately in twitter talking about the non beta version for N9 and Symbian.

    I almost pulled off the few remaining hair strands on my head trying to fix this issue with album art on my 808. Thanks much for this information. I just installed QuasarMX and all but 4 covers of my collection was updated. Hope this comes out of beta.. will gladly pay for the full version.
