Microsoft just started sending invites for “major Microsoft announcement that will happen June 18th. The event is curiously enough just couple of days before the first unveiling of Windows Phone 8.
Rumors have been wild about Microsoft buying Yammer or even Nokia. Invite sounds more like a hardware unveiling and is quite of a different than your typical invite with no graphical explanation and special rules.
This is a non-transferrable invitation, however, if you would like to send your local colleague in your place, please submit that name and it will be reviewed. If you would like to bring a photographer please register that person as your additional guest. Please note – still photography and video will be limited. – Microsoft
Event happening in Los Angeles just adds to the confusion. Nokia is more than likely going to announce it’s Windows Phones in Nokia World, but could we see Nokia tablet Monday next week? AllThingsD is reporting that in this event Microsoft will be unveiling some of it’s ARM iPad competitors according to sources outside the company.
Just maybe that Nokia boss talks from end of last year about Nokia showing it’s tablet in June 2012 could be true? We will know more early next week.
