How is your N9 battery life after PR1.1?

There has been a lot of reports about battery life draining fast on N9 after PR1.1 firmware update, it seems like i have been hit by it as well.

Updated to PR1.1 couple of days after it became available and since then had couple of days, when for no apparent reason the battery has been totally drained in 7-8 hours. usually with normal use my N9 gets easily the day and still has battery left for half a day. Had nothing running on background, have the same setup for my accounts updates and same apps as i had on PR1.0.

I wonder could it be something on the Email app as it got fair share of updates on PR1.1 and for the first 3 days when i had no battery problems, neither non of my Email Accounts where up yet.

Most people have reported improvements since 1.1…
The few that I’ve seen still having issues or having issues since 1.1…
Have usually had it resolved after doing a full reset & then manually reconfiguring everything.
    Backing-up stuff like music/vids/pics/docs (to Ph/PC) 1st of course.

Yeah, got a try full reset and try how it goes after couple of days.

      You have N9 yet?

“Yeah, got a try full reset and try how it goes after couple of days.”

Let us know how it goes! :-)

        “You have N9 yet?”

The minute you post a story that the White N9′s order-able in Australia, is the minute I’m placing my order! ;-)
I suspect we’ll go through the same pain we went through with the other models (& still are to-some-extent) 1st.

So jealous! Only reason i’m waiting for Lumia 800 at the moment is to get Cyan version, so hoped there was white.
Can’t justify selling my black 64GB N9 for the amount i paid for it and getting white version. Would i want to? Yes, a lot.

You never know, it might have good resale value on ebay.
You might get almost all your money back!?
Then go hunt own your white N9, and let me know!

My N9 last bit more than 2 days with skype online 24h, MfE sync after 20 minutes in peak time and 2 hours off-peak time, daily 1,5 hours of music over bluetooth, around 45minutes of GPS. I’m using 2G data connection. Push e-mail and 3G are draining battery fast.

      PR1.0 or 1.1?

As soon as I got my N9 64GB, I immediately fully charged it before I upgraded to PR1.1. I got my first unit last week but I had to return it due to the dark spots on the screen. I got my other unit just yesterday. Am on continuous HSDPA connection, continuously connected to Facebook and twitter, SIP Account (Always on, utilizing HSDPA). I have been tinkering my phone non-stop since yesterday and I still have 48% battery life. Did 30 minutes VOIP/SIP calls, browsed the web, listened to music (3 albums), watched Green Lantern on it to test the video, and manually entered all my contacts…  I have yet to access/setup my emails though..

So far I’m still satisfied with my units’ battery life..

There’s some threads @TMO exploring how one can get high drain under certain conditions.
Bugs have been filed for them*, & pointers have been given as-to-how one can mitigate the issue/s.

*where it’s certain that the condition is more than just high-use, or a misconfig.

        I’m obviously interested!
But I don’t understand “There’s some threads @TMO”… can u explain or give me some url please

            Ok thx a lot
It seems that there is a real problem
I’ve no doubt that it will be fixed sooner, and there is no solution yet
I have maybe seen a differnence when I removed a lot of small files in a created directory in /
when I have modified the number of files into, the music manager updated imself for more than 20mn (without reason, this is not music files and not in the proper repertory…)
but I don’t know if there is a real relation
My idle consomtion pass from 70-80 to 39…

Some have seen dramatic drops, depending on what they try.
For others it’s only temporary, & quickly becomes a problem again.

You’ll see others who’ve tried many things, & that’ll give you some ideas.

Having a same problem with my N9 64GB. Battery used to last like a day and a half but now, it’s dead after 6-8 hours. Are there any fixes out, cus i would really like to use my N9 again. No point of charging it twice a day in my oppinion. Overall, N9 is overpriced anyway, i expected alot more from it, but after using it for awhile, it’s showed me alot of glitches, for instance, when i open my twitter app, and i’m not connected to the internet, wifi for exaple, and i try to close the app, it keeps bringing up the internet tab. What i mean is that then i swipe from the twitter screen to the multitask screen and point my finger to the screen/app icon, so i could close it, it throws me the “connect to the internet” thing, and i really pisses me the fuck off.

Any reason why you’re ranting here & not bothering to get help at the best channels?
How could you possibly think this is among the best places to get help?

A had the same problem with my Nokia N9 16gb PR 1.2. I charged it 2 times a day. Whe its fully charge after 1 hour idle time battery is 96%?!? A have  2 feeds, updated for 1 hour, weather and nothing else. But its not normal to charging my phone 2 times a day….

    • jalyst

Necro post? And that’s definitely not normal for most users on pr1.2.
Usually far better, as evidenced by the countless threads where it’s discussed.
Maybe start a thread at TMO for some advice on how to improve…
