MeeGo 1.2(harmattan) UI

Device itself looks nice in my opinion, but the show stopper is that harmattan UI that is based on 3 different views.

First is the application view. You can change icons positions freely.

Second is the notification view where you got your all your notifications and social feeds.

Third one is the recent tasks, multitasking window. Doing pinch and zoom gesture you get grid view and smaller icons.

Video is still live as he swipes to multitasking window.

Great video by Nokia to show the UI.

Really can’t talk enough how amazing this UI looks like. I think their notification solution is very nice and something that’s actually their own.

So dispite ‘swipe’ it is dealing with the same responsive lags as the other symbian and meamo nokia phones. Like not reonding to taps and drags. With the N900 at the pinnicle. It would be nice if skilled phone designers as in nokia attempt to stop distracted and use their knowledge to do something about this.

This article is almost 4 months old, as is the video. N9 has come long way from that.
